Lidl skills centres are put on by Football Development throughout the year within Clackmannanshire to give children between 5 to 12 yrs the opportunity to participate and get a taste of football in a fun and safe environment, whilst giving them a chance to express their football skills.
They are coached by qualified Scottish FA coaches who work to develop and improve their skills. The sessions are progressively structured to allow children to advance and improve at their own rate.
The Scottish FA are currently working with many hundreds of youth and adult football clubs as part of our Quality Mark Awards Initiative. Many of these clubs are looking for new players and coaches.
All of the clubs listed below have shown a strong commitment to player development and high levels of coach education, child protection and first aid:
The Tesco Bank Football Challenge Programme will use the power of football to get Primary 2 and 3 children (6 - 8 years) active, not only at school but by establishing long lasting activity week in, week out. Selected school's will receive a six week programme of coaching sessions with an emphasis on fun, movement and involvement. The programme is essentially an introduction to football and is designed to increase participation, enhance enjoyment and develop a range of physical social skills.
Please refer to our pre-school football page for session information.
