Nursery Enrolment, Session Choice Forms and Guidance Notes for session 2017/18 are now available.

What we offer

All children can be offered an entitlement to 600 hours in a local authority nursery, however, this may not always be in your first choice.

Children become eligible for a free place from the term after their 3rd birthday.

This entitles all eligible children to an early learning and childcare place of up to 5 sessions of 3 hrs and 10 minutes per week for 38 weeks in a local authority nursery or partnership provider.

All nurseries provide flexibility around how these hours are offered. This means your child's place can be 5 morning sessions, 5 afternoon sessions or 5 sessions over the week.

You are also now able to buy additional nursery sessions in specific local nurseries where spaces are available.

2 year old eligibility

Some 2 year old children are entitled to free nursery provision from the term after their 2nd birthday.
