There are many volunteers throughout Clackmannanshire who deserve to be recognised for their dedication, time and effort. The Citizen of the Year Award, which is in its sixteenth year, sponsored by the Lord-Lieutenant's Trust is an opportunity to acknowledge and thank some of our champions.
Young Citizen of the Year provides an opportunity to recognise an inspirational local person, under the age of 19, who has enriched the lives of others or has been selfless in their actions. This will be the seventh year we have celebrated Young Citizen of the Year.
David received the award, which is sponsored by the Lord Lieutenant's Trust, for his amazing contributions to environmental conservation in the local area. Over the last 12 years, David has contributed 510 days to improving biodiversity and access in Clackmannanshire and across Central Scotland.
Susie Lambert was named Young Citizen of the Year for her work as a key member of the Alloa Academy Anti-Bullying Leadership Team and her commitment and contribution for the preparation and delivery of the group’s successful events. Susie is also Chairperson of the Youth Council.
