As part of the Council's ongoing commitment to achieve and maintain the Scottish Housing Quality Standard and Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing (EESSH). This programme is ongoing and a rolling programme has been established.
Modern and secure energy efficient windows will be installed by Sidey Glaziers Ltd initially in approximately 450 homes over the coming year in various locations throughout Clackmannanshire. Tenants involved will be lettered to advise when this work is due to be carried out in their home.
The council embarked on an extensive window replacement programme from the mid-1980s onwards and many of these original window frames are coming to the end of their projected life cycle.
Through upgrading the windows to our properties with energy saving reflective glass, this further enhances the energy performance of our stock and assists with meeting our EESSH target by 2021. This in turn delivers savings to our tenants through energy saving costs.
The council's investment in the window programme benefit tenants by making the property safe and secure.
